First Visit

Your first appointment usually takes about 90 minutes, sometimes longer. In that session, the acupuncturist will go over your medical background thoroughly, perform a physical evaluation, and create an individualized treatment plan based on your goals and needs. They will also spend time exploring your concerns in more depth, asking about symptoms as well as lifestyle factors such as nutrition, activity level, sleep quality, stress, mood, and other day-to-day influences that affect your well-being. To help shape your care, the practitioner may also use Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) diagnostic techniques, including checking your tongue and feeling your pulse.

Your Custom Treatment Plan

After your acupuncturist collects enough information, you’ll be given a thorough assessment and an individualized care plan describing the root imbalances affecting your symptoms, the anticipated length of treatment, and the exact therapies you’ll receive. Our practitioners collaborate to create a personalized program designed around your unique health needs and goals.

How Treatment Works

To help restore harmony in your Qi, an acupuncturist carefully inserts very thin, sterile needles into specific points along the body’s meridian channels. Each session is customized to you from your customized treatment plan, emphasizing the organ systems most related to your symptoms and broader wellness goals. Depending on what you’re experiencing, your practitioner may also add supportive methods such as cupping or herbal remedies. For best results, we strongly advise following your practitioner’s instructions closely.

Your Role In The Treatments

Your daily choices and habits play a vital role in your healing journey. By prioritizing your health and embracing a balanced lifestyle, you create a strong foundation for lasting well-being. It is important to take care of yourself after acupuncture treatments to avoid detrimental health problems, but even after your symptoms improve, ongoing acupuncture treatments can continue to support long-term wellness and help prevent future imbalances.
